Oskaloosa Homecoming Starts September 23rd

Homecoming is upon us and Oskaloosa High School is getting ready for a week packed with fun activities! September 23rd to the 27th is going to get wild this year with the theme “Welcome to Our Jungle.” The week starts off with Powderpuff Football on Monday at Lacey Complex. Come watch the OHS senior girls dominate the field. On Tuesday, enjoy a full night of volleyball by coming to watch the Freshman, JV, and Varsity girls play in the high school gym. Afterward, stick around to see the senior boys take over the nets for Powderpuff Volleyball. Cross Country will also have a home meet at Edmundson Park starting at 4:30. On Wednesday, take a chance to relax and prepare for the rest of the homecoming week. Thursday evening, be sure to watch the Homecoming Parade downtown at 6:30. Any questions about joining the parade can be addressed to Kim Gile at gilek@oskycsd.org. After the parade, head over to the Community Stadium for the coronation to see the crowning of this year’s Homecoming King and Queen along with appearances from the high school band and choir. The week will finish off with the big Homecoming Game on Friday night with kick-off at 7:30. At half-time, Dance Dynamix and the Marching Indians will perform. Be sure to come support the Indians as they take on the Grinnell Tigers.
