Oskaloosa High School Baseball Team to “Swing for the Arch” at Busch Stadium

Oskaloosa, Iowa – [February 14, 2024] – The Oskaloosa High School baseball team is proud to announce their upcoming opportunity to showcase their talent at Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, dubbed “Swing for the Arch,” is scheduled to take place on June 8, 2024, offering an unparalleled experience for the players, coaches, and fans alike.

The Indians have demonstrated commitment to hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship on and off the field. Their relentless pursuit of success has earned them the privilege of stepping onto the grand stage of Busch Stadium, where they will have the chance to compete against the Ottumwa Bulldogs following an MLB matchup between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Colorado Rockies.

The “Swing for the Arch” event promises an electrifying atmosphere filled with excitement, passion, and pride as the players strive to make their mark on one of baseball’s most hallowed grounds. As they take to the field in St. Louis, the players will have the unique chance to fulfill their dreams and leave a lasting impression on the baseball community.

The entire Oskaloosa community is invited to come out and support the Indians as they embark on this unforgettable journey. Fans can expect an exhilarating day of baseball, highlighted by the opportunity to witness the next generation of stars compete at Busch Stadium. Oskaloosa players will be responsible for selling tickets at $35 each, which includes entry to the MLB game and the high school game. Transportation and lodging are not included. All ticket sales, donations, and business sponsorship will aid in the team’s fundraising efforts to reach $15,000.
