Oskaloosa Boys Golf Team Leads the Field in Albia, Showcasing Team Depth and Individual Bests

In a regular season meet held in Albia, the Oskaloosa Boys Varsity Golf team outperformed their competition with a solid team score of 159, leading them to first place.

The team faced off against local schools from Albia, Chariton, Clarke, and Moravia. Albia followed behind with a score of 168, while Clarke and Chariton tied at 182, and Moravia rounded out the group with 184.

This victory was the collective effort of the team, highlighting contributions across the board. Senior Nolan Scott led the pack with the lowest score of the day, a 38, marking his best performance in high school meets to date. Close behind, Maddux Ashman finished with a 39, his round made memorable by a remarkable birdie from 60 yards out.

The team’s depth was further shown through scores from other players: Ryan Carriker with a 40, Johnathon Terpstra at 42, Linus Morrison scoring 43, and Griffin Snitker finishing with a 47.

Looking ahead, the JV team is scheduled to compete at the Pella Christian JV Invite at Bos Landen, with the Varsity team set to participate in a Little Hawkeye Conference meet at Edmundson.
