OMS Prepare For Upcoming Concert

Oskaloosa Middle School 7/8th grade band hosted composer Andrew Glover at their rehearsal on Thursday. Glover is Chief Operating Officer of C.L. Barnhouse Company. Glover worked with the Oskaloosa students on a recent composition of his entitled Roller Coaster, giving the students insight into the compositional process of an active/living composer. The band is preparing for their spring concert to be held at 7:30pm Monday, May 6 in the George Daily Auditorium. The concert will feature the 5th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band, and 7th/8th Grade Band. The concert will feature several Barnhouse selections including Shine by Rob Grice, Water is Wide arranged by James Swearingen, and Roller Coaster by Andrew Glover.
