OHS Bowling Kicks Off Their Season

Osky starts off the season with a pair of wins for the boys and girls bowling teams against Pella tonight.

The girls came from behind after being down 40 pins after the singles games. The girls bowled very consistently in the baker games to come from behind and get the win against the Pella girls team. Ava Ridenour led the way with a 259 series and freshman Sidney Thompson was 2nd high with a 254 series for the girls.

The Osky boys held a 70-pin lead after the singles games led by Trey VanWyk who bowled the high games of 242 and 211 for the high series of 453. Senior Tucker DeJong bowling in his first high school bowling meet finished with the 2nd high series of 341 with a high game of 202.

The boys started off the baker games by increasing their lead after bowling games of 226 and 203 for the first two baker games. Then struggled for the next two baker games and came back with a 193 for the last baker game.

Overall the boys and girls both need to work on there spare game. They missed quite a few spares, which made this meet a lot closer than it should’ve been.
