O.W.L.S. – “Belle Fountaine History”

Wednesday, September 25, 2019

11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Environmental Learning Center

Join other adults for “lunch and learn” at the next O.W.L.S. program on Wednesday, September 25 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at the Mahaska County Environmental Learning Center at Caldwell Park. O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser, Learning Seniors) is a lunch and learn program with the Mahaska County Conservation that meets monthly and offers an educational program. You don’t necessarily need to be a senior, just an adult that would enjoy learning about the history of Belle Fountaine that was once a thriving area in Mahaska County. The presentation will be given by Linda Fox. Linda will share her knowledge from years of researching the families and town of Belle Fountaine. It has quite a history!

BRING A LUNCH and a friend or two! If you would like to tour the new Environmental Learning Center, then we will show you around following the program. This program is free and reservations are not needed. If you have questions, contact Laura DeCook, Naturalist, at (641)673-9327 ext. 2 or decook@mahaskacounty.org.

The Environmental Learning Center is located at 2342 Hwy. 92 East, Oskaloosa. For information about more upcoming programs and events with MCCB, go to www.mahaskacounty.org or Mahaska County Conservation on Facebook.
