North Mahaska Makes Changes Due to Heat
NEW SHARON – School at North Mahaska begins on Wednesday, but Mother Nature has stepped in and altered the plan. Classes will now be dismissed at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday due to an excessive heat warning. The school is in the midst of installing air conditioning, but the project is not complete.
Junior high practices will not be held until Monday, Aug. 30 since school is dismissing early. Watch the school website, listen to local media for any updates.
