NJCAA Announces Final Football, Regular Season Basketball Polls

Charlotte, NC – The final NJCAA football poll was announced by the National Office on Monday afternoon along with the fifth regular season men’s and women’s basketball polls.

After claiming the 2019 NJCAA eTeamSponsor Football Championship on Thursday, Mississippi Gulf Coast was the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation with all 16 first-place votes in the NJCAA Football poll. National runner-up Lackawanna (PA) and Salt City Bowl champions Hutchinson (KS) rounded out the top-three.

Ranger (TX) was the unanimous No. 1 team in the NJCAA DI Men’s Basketball poll after extending its undefeated record to 15-0. Vincennes (IN), Pearl River (MS), Otero (CO), and Florida SouthWestern State rounded out the top-five.

Undefeated Gulf Coast State (FL) continued its run atop the NJCAA DI Women’s Basketball poll followed by South Plains (TX), Trinity Valley (TX), and Northwest Florida State. Central Arizona moved up one spot to round out the top-five.

North Iowa Area became the new No. 1 team in the NJCAA DII Men’s Basketball poll, the program’s first No. 1 rank since 1978. 9-0 Schoolcraft (MI) moved up to No. 2 while Sullivan County (NY) jumped four spots to No. 3.

Kirkwood (IA) stayed on top of the NJCAA DII Women’s Basketball poll while North Iowa Area, Kansas City Kansas, and Lincoln Land (IL) all moved up one spot in the top-five.

Sandhills (NC) remained undefeated to stay atop the latest NJCAA DIII Men’s Basketball poll followed by a pair of Texas programs in Richland and Eastfield. Mohawk Valley (NY) and Hostos (NY) rounded out the top-five.

Nassau (NY) earned four first-place votes to become the new No. 1 team in the NJCAA DIII Women’s Basketball poll. A pair of undefeated teams, North Country (NY) and Massasoit (MA) moved up to round out the top-three teams in the latest rankings.
