Nine Honored by NAIA as Scholar-Athletes

 

Oskaloosa–Nine individuals from the William Penn women’s soccer program were honored for their excellence in the classroom as they were named 2022 NAIA Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athletes Monday.

Madeline Danielson (So., La Crescent, Minn., Exercise Science) leads the group with a perfect 4.0 Grade Point Average.  Brittney Severson (Sr., Omaha, Neb., Sociology) is next with a 3.93 GPA, while the trio of Abi Moers (Jr., Evergreen, Colo., Psychology and Human Services) (3.86), Kaitlin Falaney (Sr., Ottawa, Ill., Sports Management) (3.81), and Cheyenne Brock (Sr., Monte Vista, Colo., Biology) (3.80) are all in the 3.8 range.

Sara’ Leilani Kalilikani (So., Covina, Calif., Education/Exercise Science) continues the list at 3.71, while Graisy Greener (Sr., Ogden, Utah, Sociology) and Lacie Kirkle (So., Altoona, Iowa, Undecided) each have 3.70 GPAs, and Taylor Witthauer (Jr., Vancouver, Wash., Nursing) owns a 3.56 GPA.

A total of 1,557 women’s soccer athletes from within the NAIA were awarded the laurel.

To be eligible for the award, athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, have attended the nominating institution for one full year prior to nomination, and must appear on the sport’s eligibility paperwork.
