The Mahaska County Conservation Board and the Pheasants Forever Chapter has rescheduled the annual Night Prairie Burn for Friday, April 26. The event will take place at the Russell Wildlife Area. An informational talk about prescribed burning will begin at 8:00 p.m. and the burn will begin at 8:30 p.m. For more information, contact MCCB at (641)673-9327.

The Russell Wildlife Area is located at 2254 – 200th Street, New Sharon, which is 4 miles north of Oskaloosa on Hwy. 63 and one mile east on 200th Street. Please note: This program may be cancelled if the conditions are too wet or too windy to burn. Call MCCB if the weather is questionable.
