MONSANTO’S DEKALB BRAND TO PRESENT ‘IOWA CORN INDY 250’

(NEWTON, Iowa – May 24, 2013) Officials of Iowa Speedway and Monsanto’s DEKALB brand of seed corn announced today that the DEKALB brand will present the 2013 ‘Iowa Corn Indy 250’ at Iowa Speedway in Newton.
Now titled ‘Iowa Corn Indy 250 presented by the DEKALB brand’, the 250-lap IZOD IndyCar race will be contested on the Newton track’s 7/8-mile tri-oval on Sunday afternoon, June 23, beginning at 2:00 pm CDT.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to work closely with the Iowa Corn Growers Association and Iowa Speedway, as well as feature the DEKALB brand’s commitment to powerful innovation and performance,” stated Jason Hoag, DEKALB Brand Lead. “The DEKALB brand has partnered with American farmers for over 100 years and we look forward to working with our industry partners, dealers and farmers to bring forth innovation that is ahead of pace, allowing tomorrow’s ideas to be products of today.”
Iowa Speedway Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Chuck Spicer, was equally enthusiastic about the DEKALB brand’s presenting sponsorship of the facility’s seventh annual IndyCar race.

Season Tickets and weekend passes are also available for Iowa Speedway’s 2013 racing season, which begins on June 7 – 8 with the first of two NASCAR Nationwide Series event weekends.
