Missing Man’s Family Asks For Information
The family of Shannon Naill are asking for your help in locating their loved one.
Centerville, Iowa – One Iowa family started out 2014 with concern for one of their own.
Shannon Naill, 40, of Centerville, Iowa was scheduled to be home with his family in Centerville shortly after the 28th of December, but when he had failed to return home from his out-of-state job by the 31st his family contacted the Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office and filed a missing persons report. The family had last spoken with Naill on December 26th.
Since that time, the family, including his sister Tammy Ingwersen, had Naill’s phone pinged in an effort to have him located. According to the results of that, his cell phone was last active in Pueblo, Colorado.
Naill worked out-of-state for various contractors, and it wasn’t uncommon for him to be traveling from state to state for his work.
Ingwersen said that they are “looking for any information on Shannon.” They said any information is important, even if you think you saw him at a gas station, as any small bits of information could help them piece together where he may be.
Ingwersen has since contacted law enforcement all along the suspected route her brother could have potentially traveled, alerting them to the situation. She has also contacted the hospitals and motels, searching for information. Naill was believed to have left Ohio in a white dually service pick-up truck en-route to New Mexico.
“There isn’t a whole lot we, as a family, can do to search for him anymore,” said Ingwersen.
Locally, the story has garnered media attention, but getting this information shared in the potential areas of his expected arrival in New Mexico or along his potential route from Colorado to New Mexico is what is really needed.
The family is also raising funds to help continue the search for the father of three. Naill has always kept in contact with his children, in particular his daughter. The hope is to hire a private investigator to assist in the search. The family doesn’t believe their brother would just disappear like this. “As a family, we can’t understand why he would just go off and not [tell someone],” said his cousin Maisi Watts.

Naill is described as 5’10” tall, and 250 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair. When he was last seen, he had a beard and mustache.
