Mildred Marie Wilson, 89, of Oskaloosa died Monday, August 4, 2014 at Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa. She was born Friday, August 8, 1924 in Tracy, Iowa, the daughter of Roland and Eva Lundy Moody.

Mildred graduated from Tracy High School and attended photography school. Early on, Mildred stayed home to raise her family. Later she worked at the overall factory in Oskaloosa and then at Pella Rollscreen for about 20 years.

On June 30, 1978, Mildred was united in marriage to Arden Wilson at the Central United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa.

Mildred enjoyed golfing and was very proud of her two hole-in-ones. She played in the women’s league in Oskaloosa and also enjoyed golfing with Arden. Mildred enjoyed basketball when she was younger and shooting pool later in life.

She is survived by her husband, Arden Wilson of Oskaloosa; a son, Wayne Luckey of Oskaloosa; a daughter, Carol (& Brian) Rieck of Dubuque; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters: Norma Jean (& Milo) Rice of Oskaloosa and Marilyn Clark of Des Moines; two brothers: Delbert (& Judy) Moody of Tracy and Marvin Moody of Eddyville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two children: Karen Hammons and Kathy Drosta; two brothers: Roland “Buddy” Moody and Robert Moody; and two sisters: Peggy Jones and Janice Moody.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 1 P.M. in the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa with Pastor Alvern Boetsma officiating.
As was her wish, her body has been cremated and no visitation is planned.
Burial of her cremated remains will immediately follow the graveside service.
Memorials may be made to the Mildred Wilson Memorial Fund.
