Middle School Cross Country Teams Finish Strong at Home Meet

The Oskaloosa Middle School cross country teams delivered impressive performances at their home invite, held at Edmundson Park on Tuesday night. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams secured 3rd place in the team standings, competing under sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s.

For the girls, Preslie Bryan led the way, finishing 16th overall with a time of 11:53.7. Payton Clark followed closely, placing 18th at 12:05.7, and Hazel Adam rounded out the top 25 with a 22nd place finish in 12:18.1. Their strong performances also earned them a spot in the Top 10 list for the Oskaloosa Meet.

The boys’ team was equally competitive, with Oliver Chilcote placing 12th at 11:09.2, followed by Kylor Andersen-McVay in 14th (11:10.6), Noah Ruckman in 21st (11:39.2), Kellen Kauslarich in 23rd (11:44.8), and Gyden Walker in 25th (11:59.4). All five boys finished in the top 25, showcasing their consistency and strength.

The team will travel to Mt. Pleasant for their next meet on Tuesday, continuing their strong start to the season​.
