Maple Syrup Festival

Saturday, March 17

9:00 – Noon

Eveland Access, Old Barn on Sheets Addition

Bring your family out for some fun at Eveland Access from 9:00 am until noon on Saturday, March 17. The Mahaska County Conservation Board staff and volunteers will demonstrate how to tap trees and boil it to make maple syrup. You can also explore the black maple sugarbush, the old barn, a Native American sugaring camp and enjoy some old-fashioned games. Bring your appetites for fresh maple syrup on ice cream! This event is for all ages. Come on out for the fun – no reservations are needed. If the weather is poor for an outdoor event, it will be held indoors at the Russell Wildlife Area. Watch Mahaska County Conservation on Facebook for updates. If you have any questions, please call the Mahaska County Conservation Board at (641)673-9327.

Eveland Access is located four miles south of Beacon on T39 and then west on 290th Street. Look for signs to direct you to the event location.
