Lucille Bogard, 87 of Grinnell passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Mayflower Care Center in Grinnell. Lucille J. Bogard, the daughter of Arnold and Bessie (De Kraai) Duinink, was born on July 6, 1927 in Lynnville, Iowa.

Lucille graduated from Black Oak County School north of Lynnville. On October 19, 1946, Lucille was united in marriage to Russell Kinzebach in Sigourney, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Dale and Caroline. They later divorced. Then Lucille was married to Tonie Bogard on March 10, 1953 at her parents’ home in rural Lacey. Together they had two sons, Earl and Keith. They lived in Montezuma for a several years before moving to New Sharon in 1965 to raise her family.

Lucille was a homemaker and loved her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lucille enjoyed ceramics, all types of crafts, crocheting, cross stitch, painting and making Afghans for her grandchildren. She attended the Poweshiek County Fair and the Southern Iowa Fair, entering her crafts in various categories and winning several awards. She was a member of the 50 Plus Club and Sunny Circle Club.

Lucille is survived by her children: Caroline (& Gene) Shook of Grinnell, Earl (& Sheryl) Bogard of Jonesboro, TN and Keith Bogard of New Sharon; her nine grandchildren: Kevin, Karen, Kelly, Chad, Melissa, Michelle, Cody, Jamie and Jesse; six great grandchildren: Kelsey, Kassie, Mason, Kadon, Ethan and Ella; a sister, Nellie Nelson of Bondurant; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Duinink of Montezuma and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Bessie Duinink; her husband, Tonie Bogard; a son, Dale Kinzebach; two sisters: Martha Bogard and Pearl Felton; two brothers: Clarence Duinink and Alvie Duinink; and two brothers in infancy.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon.
Burial will be held in the Friends Cemetery in New Sharon.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Grinnell Regional Hospice or the New Sharon Fire and Rescue.
