Linda Gott, 63, of Oskaloosa, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at her home in Oskaloosa. Linda Jo Gott, one of 12 children born to Edgar Lewis and Lela May (McCain) Playle, was born on August 29, 1960, in Oskaloosa.

Linda was a 1979 graduate of Oskaloosa High School and then began working at Hardee’s Restaurant.

On November 23, 1979, she married Paul Thomas Gott, and they made their home in Oskaloosa.

She continued to work at Hardee’s until her son, Justin, was born when she stayed home to care for him. She returned to the workforce at Reames Food in Pella in 1996. In 2004, Linda began working in Housekeeping at Pella Regional Health Center. She remained there until her retirement in 2016.

Linda enjoyed her home and family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Her family includes her son, Justin Gott of Oskaloosa; three grandchildren: Payton, Alivia and Ezra Gott; her siblings: Lewis Playle of Barnes City, Joanne Playle of Moravia, Ed (& Jane) Playle of Oskaloosa, Robbie (& Connie) Playle of Oskaloosa, David Playle of Oskaloosa, Judy Playle of Oskaloosa, and Carolyn Vance of Oskaloosa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Paul, her husband of 35 years; she was also preceded in death by four siblings: Colleen Playle, Jerry Ben Playle, Bernie Playle, and an infant sister, Darlene Playle.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Beacon Cemetery with Rev. Sean Cully officiating.
