LINDA FOX TO RETIRE AS CHILDREN’S LIBRARIAN

Oskaloosa, IA – Linda Fox, Children’s Librarian at the Oskaloosa Public Library, will retire in mid-November after thirty years of employment with the library. Her last day at the library will be November 16.

Mrs. Fox joined the Oskaloosa Public Library as the Children’s Librarian on September 1, 1982. Since then, she has led over 10,000 programs for children at the library and an additional 10,000 in daycare and elementary classrooms in the community. She has also served on numerous committees and boards for the Southeast Library Services Area, the State Library of Iowa and the Iowa Library Association. Mrs. Fox’s passion and commitment to providing exemplary library services for children and youth have been unfailing.

The Oskaloosa Public Library, the Library Board of Trustees and the Friends of the Oskaloosa Public Library invite the public to an open house reception in honor of Mrs. Fox. The reception will take place 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012 in the Reading Room on the second floor of the library.
