Lighted Christmas Parade & Festival 2018

The 30th Annual Oskaloosa Main Street Lighted Christmas Parade made it's way around the square on November 30th.

Oskaloosa Main Street will be kicking off their annual holiday events soon!

On Thursday, November 29th, Main Street’s 31st Annual Lighted Christmas Parade and Festival will begin in downtown Oskaloosa.

The fun begins in Penn Central Mall with the Holiday Market and Festival of Trees Silent Auction from Noon–10 PM. (Select Holiday Market vendors will also be open through Saturday, December 1st during mall hours.) The auction closes at 9 PM, with winners announced in Center Court at 9:30 PM.

From 4–6 PM, enjoy fun, family crafts, activities, train rides, and photos with Santa.

Guests are encouraged to come enjoy live music in Center Court from the Backrow Hooligans (4 PM), Oskaloosa High School Jazz Band (4:45 PM), Rozenboom Trio (5:30 PM), and the Living Water Quartet (6 PM).

After that, it’s time to head downtown to enjoy the magnificent Painting with Lights display and celebrate “The Sights & Sounds of Christmas” during the Lighted Christmas Parade at 7 PM.

After the parade, return to the warmth of the mall for live jazz music by Oskaloosa native, Rusty Johnson and friends (Sponsored by Bank Iowa) from 8:30-9:30 PM. The Festival of Trees Silent Auction will remain open for bidding until 9 PM. At 9:30 PM Festival of Trees silent auction winners and awards will be announced.

2018 Lighted Christmas Parade awards will be announced on Saturday, December 1st, during Merry Little Downtown Christmas at the bandstand at 5 PM along with winners for the window display and home decorating contests.
