The Oskaloosa girls fell behind 19-6 after one quarter at Pella Friday night and the 14th ranked Lady Dutch kept their foot on the pedal cruising to a 58-22 win.

Oskaloosa showed significant improvements in breaking the press, but Pella was red hot from long range hitting nine three-pointers from five different players.

Senior Lindsay Holmberg was unable to play due to a concussion; however Sophomore Amanda Fey had a big game scoring 11 points to lead Oskaloosa.

A bright moment occurred right at the end of the game for Osky as Mary Nelson, who has been out all season with an injury, checked in with seconds remaining and got a big eruption from Osky fans when she hit a basket and was fouled then hit the free throw completing the three-point play.

Marleigh Denberger scored four points, Nelson three, Ashley Drost two and Emma Kelderman and Macie Krier each added one.

Oskaloosa fell to 2-14 on the season and 1-8 in the LHC and returns to action Saturday with a 4 pm tip-off at Dallas-Center Grimes.
