Krause Notches Third Weekly Award
Oskaloosa–Landon Krause (Sr., Appleton, Wis., Business Management) was again a menace to opposing offenses, and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Volleyball Defender of the Week Monday.
Krause, now a seven-time career honoree (third of the year, third as a defender all-time), helped the Statesmen to a pair of wins last week.
Krause opened his week with three digs and a pair of block assists against Graceland last Tuesday. Those stats came in addition to 12 kills on a .632 attacking mark; he also had two aces.
Last Thursday versus Kansas Wesleyan, the senior recorded 15 digs and posted four blocks (one solo, three assists). He finished with a double-double, having also tallied 23 kills (.405 attack pct.) in addition to three aces and two assists.
For the year, Krause’s defensive numbers include a team-best 122 digs (1.91 per set) in addition to 65 blocks (five solos, 60 assists, 1.02 per set); he is second for William Penn in blocks. The senior also leads his squad in kills (246, 3.84 per set) and aces (21), while owning a .346 attacking clip.
The award is the fourth of the season for WPU.
