Johnathon Terpstra Qualifies For State Golf

Congratulations to State Qualifier Johnathon Terpstra! This is his second year in a row qualifying as an individual (it’s not that easy!)

and his 3rd trip to the state tournament and he’s only a junior! Johnathon shot 77 (+5) to finish in 2nd place overall in the 40 person field.

He will play at Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames next Monday and Tuesday, May 22-23.

As a team, we are disappointed. We had some goals that didn’t get accomplished, but we have the opportunity to learn and get ready for next year. There are 5 returning starters and a lot of experience coming back from a district qualifying team. They will play a lot this summer and hopefully are looking for ways to improve their games! Ryan Carriker, Carter Blanco, Linus Morrison and Garrett Roethler will be back and ready to go further next year!

We will be missing our senior Tucker DeJong who finished his HS career today. He’s always been a great leader and fantastic person and I can’t wait to see what he accomplishes in his life going forward.
