James King, 40, of New Sharon, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022, of kidney failure at the Mahaska Health Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. James Michael King, son of Vicky Ver Steeg, was born on January 3, 1982, in Corydon, Iowa.

After finishing school, he worked as a construction worker.

Jim’s faith in Christ was an important part of his life; he loved his Lord and Savior.

His family includes his mother, Vicky of New Sharon; an aunt, Linda (& Terry) Welch of Oskaloosa; and cousin, Bryon (& Ashley) Welch; and their children: Jace and Eli.

As was his wish, James’ body has been cremated.
