OSKALOOSA, IA – THE INVASION IS COMING! The William Penn University Theatre Department is set to present The War of the Worlds: The 1938 Radio Script (produced with special arrangement by Playscripts Inc.).
Originally broadcast from New York’s Mercury Theatre in 1938, this infamous radio play convinced listeners that an actual alien invasion of Earth was taking place. Adapted from the novel by H.G. Wells by Howard E. Koch and narrated by Orson Wells, this original script detailing the frightening tale of an extraterrestrial takeover will be performed by William Penn students and members of the Oskaloosa community at the George Daily Community Auditorium.
