Indians Boys Golf Sectional Champs

What a great day for the guys at Flint Hills Golf Course in Burlington! The team came away as sectional champions, firing a season low 316. Spencer Tucker was the meet’s medalist shooting a 73 (+2) with a -1 on the back 9. Austin Hafner was tied for 3rd with a 78. Hogan Rockhold was tied for 5th with a 79. Noah Van Veldhuizen finished with an 86, Rian Yates, 87 and Lucas Bunnell 94. All 6 players finished in the top half of the field!
This advances the team to the District meet to be played next Thursday at Edmundson for a chance to go to State!
There are plenty of things to be happy about but we also know we could do better and it was in no way a perfect day. We’ve got a week to try to improve and we will need to in order to advance again!
Spencer Tucker placed first overall with a 73, while Austin Hafner came in 3rd with a 78. Hogan Rockhold of Oskaloosa was 5th with a 79 while Noah Van Veldhuizen shot 86 for 12th. Rian Yates came in 14 with a score of 87, with Lucas Bunnell shooting a 94 for 23rd overall.
