Indians Baseball Continue Winning Ways

The Oskaloosa baseball team kept their winning streak going in Eddyville Tuesday as they beat the Rockets 7-1.

Osky has won four in a row, and 11 of their last twelve games to improve to 16-5 on the season. Wyatt Krier and Colton Butler combined to allow just one run and two hits in the win. Krier had a perfect game going through four innings. The perfect game ended in the fifth inning when the Rockets got their first hit. Krier threw four and a third innings and got the win, allowing one run on just one hit while striking out four and walking one. Butler threw the final two and two-thirds innings allowing no runs on just one hit while striking out five and walking one.

Jared McCrea took the loss for the Rockets pitching five and one-third innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out six and walking five.

Oskaloosa scored seven runs on eight hits and committed two errors, while E-B-F scored one run on two hits and committed four errors. At the plate, Tyler Miller and Rian Yates each had two hits, Miller also had two RBI. Colton Butler and Cole Kraber each had one hit and an RBI. Charlie North and Will Schultz each had a hit as well.

Oskaloosa returns to LHC play on Wednesday when they head to Norwalk.
