Imagine the Possibilities, Inc., a local non-profit provider of residential services for individuals with disabilities, recently announced that it has agreed to terms and executed a merger agreement with DAC, Inc. effective July 1, 2016. DAC is a non-profit agency providing an array of high quality services to individuals with disabilities in northeast Iowa. DAC is committed to enhancing the dignity, self-esteem and worth of each individual and his or her right to self-determination as a member of their community.

“As a company providing residential services for over 35 years in Oskaloosa and Mahaska County, we look forward to becoming a part of a larger agency, enabling us to respond more effectively to inevitable changes in the service delivery system, provide a wider array of services in various parts of the state, as well as operate with greater efficiencies overall. After researching providers across the state, we believe DAC best matches our high standards for quality services and our mission. We feel this merger will help assure stability of services for years to come,” said Jeff Morris, Executive Director of IMAGINE.

“We want to work with organizations that truly believe in their mission and are dedicated to providing outstanding services to people with disabilities despite the barriers they and we may encounter. We invest in our employees and want to empower them to continue with this culture in the future,” stated Todd Seifert, Executive Director of DAC, Inc.

DAC, Inc. has been providing services to individuals with disabilities since 1973. Prior to the merger, DAC served approximately 388 individuals in various services and employed around 440 dedicated staff. They are headquartered in DeWitt, Iowa with services provided in Maquoketa, Bellevue, Preston, Clinton, DeWitt, Dubuque, Davenport, and surrounding areas. As the merger is completed, DAC will provide services to over 500 individuals with nearly 650 employees agency-wide.
