MAHASKA COUNTY – The Mahaska Health Hospital Auxiliary will be hosting a fudge sale fundraiser on February 13-14 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. outside of Whispering Tree Gifts on Mahaska Health’s Campus.

“If you are looking for a Valentine’s Day gift you will want to stop by the sale,” said Kim Langfitt Mahaska Health Volunteer Coordinator. “We have partnered with Walnut Grove Mercantile and will have a variety of flavors to choose from as well as sugar-free options.”

A half-pound box of fudge is $6 and a half-pound of sugar-free fudge is $10. Flavors include chocolate, chocolate walnut, rocky road, chocolate peanut butter, chocolate mint swirl, chewy praline, sugar-free chocolate and sugar-free chocolate walnut. All proceeds will benefit the Mahaska Health Hospital Auxiliary. The Auxiliary is made up of a group of local volunteers that organize events, like the fudge sale, to raise funds to donate to the hospital.

“All of our fundraisers help fund non-budgeted patient care items. For example, we recently purchased a treadmill for cardiopulmonary services to help meet the growing needs of patients utilizing that service line,” said Langfitt.
