Homeschool Science Lab “Turkey Talk”

The Mahaska County Conservation Board will be hosting a Homeschool Science Lab program on November 7 and 8 at the Environmental Learning Center at Caldwell Park. This month’s topic will be “Turkey Talk”. Three sessions will be offered for this program: 10:00-11:00 am and 1:00 – 2:00 pm on November 7th and 1:00-2:00 pm on November 8th.

Kids will learn interesting things about wild turkeys such as their lives in the wild and how they communicate. We will have a turkey craft, listen to various turkey calls and even learn how they are alike and different to farm-raised turkeys.
