Harriers Putting Miles Around Town in Preseason Camp
Oskaloosa–The William Penn cross country teams are working hard in training camp for their 2013 campaign.
Coach Cody Ingold is looking forward to his teams’ prospects for fighting for a conference title.
“Everyone has stepped up and done what they need to do to get in shape so far,” Ingold said. “That attitude is exciting because we are already ten times ahead of where we were last year.”
The Statesmen harriers had their first time trial on Friday morning and Ingold is pleased with those results. He was very impressed with his runners’ focus when the clock starts.
“Our group is really fun and we all get along very well,” Ingold explained. “But when it is time to focus, we know what has to get done and everyone gets it done.”
The cross country teams have several meets leading up to the conference meet on November 9.
