GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Gwen Holtzman ’19, who helped the Pioneer women’s soccer team to another big season in 2018, has been named to the Jewish Sports Review All-American Team for NCAA Divisions II and III.

Holtzman, a midfielder from Las Cruces, N.M. (Las Cruces), was named to the All-Midwest Conference first team last fall. She ranked second for the Pioneers in goals with five and had two game-winning goals as Grinnell advanced to the MWC Tournament for the third year in a row and seventh time in the last eight seasons.

Additionally, she helped anchor a stingy defense that posted five shutouts during the course of the season. Holtzman’s efforts helped Grinnell go 7-2 in league play, their most MWC wins since the 2012 season.
