GRINNELL’S LUK IS MWC TENNIS PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Shirlene Luk ‘15 has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week.
Luk, from Grand Forks, N.D. (Red River) and the defending MWC champion at No. 1 singles, has picked up where she left off. She earned straight set wins against Luther College and the College of Saint Benedict at the No. 1 spot. In the Luther victory, she did not lose a single game while improving to 4-2 on the season.
Additionally, Luk teamed with Virginia Purcell ’17 to post an 8-2 decision at No. 1 doubles against the College of Saint Benedict.
