GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Artis Curiskis ’18 has been named the Midwest Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week.

Curiskis, from Minneapolis, Minn. (Saint Louis Park), scored the game-winning goal for the Pioneers as they prepped for the MWC Tournament with a 2-1 victory over Monmouth College Saturday.

The goal moved his career points total to 56, which ranks 10th in program history. Grinnell finished league play with a 6-3 mark while stretching its winning streak to three games.

GRINNELL, Iowa – One week after having the Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week, Grinnell College has the league’s Offensive Player of the Week.

Jordan Maddaus ’19, from Minneapolis, Minn. (Benilde-Saint Margarets), earned the award. She was the difference-maker as the Pioneers shut out Monmouth College 1-0 Saturday to qualify for the MWC Tournament for the 16th time in the last 19 years and 23rd time in the last 27.

Maddaus scored the lone goal of the game in the 34th minute as Grinnell improved to 6-3 in the MWC and 10-7 overall. The 10 victories are the most for the team since 2014.
