GRINNELL’S BURNELL NAMED MWC WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PERFORMER OF THE WEEK FOR 2ND TIME THIS SEASON

GRINNELL, Iowa – For the second time this season, Grinnell College’s Sarah Burnell ’14 (Grinnell, Iowa/Grinnell) has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Cross Country Performer of the Week.
Burnell jumped up to second on the Pioneers’ all-time 6-kilometer chart with a time of 22:01 at the Dan Huston Invitational hosted by Wartburg College on Saturday. She placed fourth in the 116-runner field and has the fastest time in the MWC this season.
The MWC Male Performer of the Week is Jake Barr of Monmouth College.
