GRINNELL WOMEN’S TENNIS TEAM TO MEET CARLETON IN NCAA REGIONAL TENNIS MATCH

CHICAGO, Ill. – For the second year in a row, the Grinnell College women’s tennis team will open up with Carleton College at the NCAA Division III Regional Team Championships.

The regional, hosted by the University of Chicago, will take place May 10-12.

The Pioneers will bring a 14-8 mark into the match, while Carleton is 15-7. The Knights are ranked 13th in the Central Region, while Grinnell is unranked.

The winner will meet the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the semifinals. UW-Whitewater is ranked fifth regionally and 26th in the nation.

In the other first-round match, Ohio Northern meets up with Edgewood, with that winner taking on the University of Chicago. Chicago is ranked first in the region and tied for eighth nationally, while Ohio Northern in 13th in the region.
