GRINNELL, Iowa – For the second time this season, Grinnell College’s Hayley Levin ’16 (Highland Park, Ill./Deerfield) has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week.

That helped complete a Pioneer sweep, as teammate Michael Brus ’14 was named MWC Men’s Performer of the Week.

Levin posted four victories in a two-day period for the Pioneers. She claimed three titles in a dual meet with the University of Nebraska Swim Club, winning the 100-yard backstroke in 1:03.88, 100 breaststroke in 1:09.44 and swimming a leg on the first-place 200 medley relay that finished in 1:56.40. Her time in the 100 backstroke ranks fourth in the conference.

In Saturday’s dual with Coe College, Levin won the 200 breaststroke in 2:27.64. That clocking ranks second in the MWC.

This is the fourth time this season a Pioneer woman has been named Performer of the Week.
