Girls Track Earn Second At Mid-Prairie
Oskaloosa Head Coach Betsy Luck wrote about the teams performance at the Mid-Prairie meet. “The weather started warm and got cooler as the night grew on but the girls kept the heat going on the track. With 6 personal records and 1 season best relay, the girls ended up second in the team standings behind a very talented Mid-Prairie team.”
“Individual champions included: Emma Kelderman in both the high jump and 400 hurdles. Both marks give her a very good chance of qualifying for the Drake Relays in those two events!!! Sophia Dykstra in the discus and the 4×400 team of Coon, VandeWall, Allen and Kelderman also took home first place finishes.”
“Individual personal records were set by: Sophia Dykstra in the shot put, Kelderman in the 400 hurdles, Ava VandeWall in the 400 hurdles, Brooke Allen in the 100 m dash, along with 4×400 splits from Lauren Coon and Brooke Allen.”
“With the Bondurant meet being cancelled on Monday due to the weather conditions, I was super happy to be able to pick up a meet tonight. Again all of the coaches are super proud of the efforts that all of the girls are giving this year.”
