Oskaloosa, IA,- Dustin Bunnell of Impact Martial Arts is hosting a free 2-hr. self-defense workshop to benefit Real Estate professionals on Wednesday, October 9th, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. The workshop will teach the escape to gain safety self-defense program, developing awareness, ground fighting techniques and personal safety strategies.

Real Estate professional continuously ranks among the top 25 most high-risk jobs in America. Agents make a living by meeting with complete strangers in isolated environments at odd times of the day. The Real Estate industry and its professionals put themselves at risk at so many points, leaving themselves wide open for predators. This workshop will work to help each individual create an action plan for doing their job safely and how to deal with the worst case scenario, i.e. a physical threat. Topics covered will teach the fundamental principles to escaping a dangerous situation, what to do when you can’t, how to fight your way back to your feet when forced to the ground and more. All participants will also receive an outline of the topics covered and a safety tip sheet to help reinforce awareness.
