Four Garner Scholar-Athlete Honors

Oskaloosa–Four members of the William Penn women’s lacrosse team were honored for their excellence in the classroom as they were named 2024 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes Tuesday.

Kadi Casey (So. Navarre, Fla., New Media) leads the quartet with a 4.00 Grade Point Average entering this spring, while Kenzington Winget (Sr., West Jordan, Utah., Political Science) holds a 3.84 GPA.

Annie Gruber (Sr., Eagan, Minn., Psychology), at 3.82, and Victoria Negron (Sr., Miami, Florida, Exercise Science), at 3.75, also earn the award.

The recognition is the third in the careers of both Gruber and Negron, while Casey and Winget are both lauded for the first time.

A total of 168 women’s lacrosse players from within the NAIA were awarded the laurel.

To be eligible for the award, athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, have attended the nominating institution for one full year prior to nomination, and must appear on the sport’s eligibility paperwork.
