Oskaloosa–Meaghan Foster (Fr., Centerville, Iowa, Undecided) made a terrific showing in her first league championships, and for her efforts she was named Midwest Collegiate Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week Monday.

Foster collected her first-ever award and her team’s first accolade of the year courtesy of sharing the MCC’s Field Athlete of the Year laurel last weekend.

The freshman was the league’s best shot putter with a school-record toss of 42-3.25. She was also fourth in the weight throw at 49-0.75.

Foster, who has qualified for nationals in both events, currently ranks 12th in the NAIA in the weight throw and 22nd in the shot put.
