Foster Ends Nationals in Shot Put Event

Geneva, Ohio–Meaghan Foster (Fr., Centerville, Iowa, Undecided) produced a solid throw in the shot put to conclude William Penn’s showing at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships Saturday.
The freshman, who placed 17th in Friday’s weight throw at 49-7.25, matched that finish with a shot put mark of 42-0.
On the men’s side, Friday’s third-place showing in the long jump by Jalen Wilson (So., Desoto, Texas, Undecided) allowed the navy and gold men to finish 34th out of 50 teams with six points.
The Statesmen will begin their outdoor seasons on March 28 at the Central Invitational in Pella.
