Five in League Ranking as Fourth Set of Polls Released
Oskaloosa–The Statesmen men’s wrestling team has five representatives in the polls as the NAIA released its fourth set of rankings Thursday.
Nationally, William Penn is 44th with 18 points with Cameron Hargrove (So., Bolingbrook, Ill., Undecided) leading the squad in 18th at 149 pounds. 174-pounder Makail Stanley (So., Oreana, Ill., Biology) is next in 22nd, while 157-pounder Kael Bunce (Jr., Stockbridge, Mich., Mechanical Engineering) is 23rd.
Grand View heads the NAIA with 296 points, while Life (Ga.) is a close second with 276 points. Southeastern (Fla.) (248), Doane (Neb.) (179), and Indiana Tech (163) round out the top five.
The navy and gold currently sit in sixth place in the Heart of America Athletic Conference with 67 points, while Grand View is first with 236 points.
Stanley holds the #2 spot at 174, while Hargrove is third at 149 and Bunce is fourth at 157.
133-pounder Sabri Sino (Fr., Franklin, Wis., Sports Management) and 184-pounder Mason Walters (So., Independence, Mo., Exercise Science) are both ranked sixth at their respective weights as well.
