First Responders Called To Car Versus Garage Crash

On Jan. 10, 2019 at 7:29 p.m., Officers of the Oskaloosa Police Department were dispatched to a traffic crash in which a vehicle had gone off the roadway and struck a garage in the 300 block of 3rd Ave W. Upon arrival, the driver was unconscious with no visible injuries. Initial investigation revealed that the driver had suffered a medical event, causing the minor crash. The driver, a 66-year-old female, was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
