Oskaloosa–Alex Edwards (So., Knoxville, Iowa) competed in just one event last weekend, but he was dominant enough to sway the voters into once again naming him Midwest Collegiate Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week Monday.

Edwards, now a two-time winner, was the fastest man in the 400-meter dash at the Central Invitational Saturday. The sophomore won the event with a time of 51.20 seconds.

A two-time national qualifier in the 600 and 800-meter runs, Edwards has claimed two titles in just three individual races at William Penn.

The award is the fourth of the season for the Statesmen.
