Finn Ryan Bolkema infant son of Ryan and Erin Flaherty Bolkema was born on April 29, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospital. Shortly after he was born, he was peacefully embraced by Jesus on Thursday afternoon.

His arrival was eagerly anticipated by his dad and mom, Ryan and Erin Bolkema of Oskaloosa; his big brother, Parker Bolkema; his maternal grandparents, Lynn Armstrong of Oskaloosa, and Kurt (Kelly) Flaherty of Georgia; his paternal grandparents, Loren (Lois) Bolkema of Oskaloosa and Sue Toering of Minnesota; maternal great grandparents, Pat Flaherty and Ardith Armstrong; his aunts, uncles, and cousins: Andrew (Jodi) Flaherty and family of Wisconsin, Bridget Flaherty of California, Meaghan Flaherty of Iowa, Patrick Flaherty of Iowa, Jodie (Scott) Van Essen and family of Iowa, John (Jess) Bolkema and family of Iowa; and Heidi Bolkema of Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Andrew Armstrong, Shirley Flaherty, Cornelius and Johanna Toering, and John and Margaret Bolkema.

A private family graveside service and burial will be held in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery near What Cheer.
