Lender expects to relocate from Ottumwa to Oskaloosa in fall 2019

Ottumwa, Iowa — Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) broke ground June 1, 2018, on a retail office in Oskaloosa. The financial cooperative will relocate its current office in Ottumwa to Oskaloosa after construction is complete, likely in the fall of 2019.

Oskaloosa’s mayor, David Krutzfeldt, and Chamber of Commerce director, Ann Smith, joined FCSAmerica Board of Directors Bob Bruxvoort and Susan Voss at the groundbreaking on D Avenue West (formerly 245th Street) off Highway 432. Also in attendance were FCSAmerica’s Ann Finkner, chief administrative officer; Jim Knuth, senior vice president for Iowa; Justin Septer, regional vice president in southeast Iowa; and several area employees.

FCSAmerica has long served the credit and crop insurance needs of farmers and ranchers in south central and southeast Iowa. The new Oskaloosa office allows FCSAmerica to continue serving producers well into the future. It offers convenient access at the intersection of Highways 163 and 92, integrates features that make it easier to do business with FCSAmerica and positions the cooperative to attract, retain and support a team of experts in agricultural lending.

“A new retail office is a major investment in the producers and communities we serve” Knuth said. “We look forward to moving into an office that is designed to meet the growing needs of the local agricultural industry.”
