Everett Icenbice, 62, of Oskaloosa, died Saturday, October 26, 2019. Everett was born August 28, 1957 in Grinnell, Iowa, to Ivan and Patricia Doonan.

Everett attended high school in Montezuma and graduated with the Class of 1975.

After high school he joined the United States Navy and served his country for four years.

He was united in marriage to Bonnie Shafer. They later divorced.

Everett worked construction for 40 years in different parts of Iowa. He was a member of the veteran’s auxiliary for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and being outdoors. Everett was very helpful to his friends, neighbors and children in need. He was also the recipient of the humanitarian medal after his service in the military.

Everett is survived by a brother; a sister; several nieces and nephews; and a half-brother and half-sister.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Sheila Icenbice.

As was his wish, Everett’s body has been cremated and there are no services planned at this time.
