Elizabeth Langstraat Witt, 76, of Ceres, CA, and formerly of Oskaloosa, IA, passed away, Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Turlock, California, at the Emanuel Medical Center. Elizabeth Ann Langstraat Witt, daughter of Maurice and Lois LaRue (Long) Briney, was born October 14, 1946 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

During her early education Liz attended school in Oskaloosa, Iowa and graduated with the class of 1964.

Liz was united in marriage to Raymond Langstraat, and to this union, four children were born. They later divorced.

Liz and family lived outside Oskaloosa and she enjoyed doing a multitude of different jobs on the farm. Liz later received training to work at the airport.

Liz eventually moved out to California to escape the cold Midwestern climate. While living in California she was united in marriage to Leon Witt, on October 13, 2001 at Reno, NV.

Liz always kept busy throughout her life with a multitude of jobs and hobbies, some of her favorites included gardening, camping and enjoying looking at the ocean.

Liz was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Elizabeth’s family includes her husband, Leon Witt of Ceres, California; her children: Rick Langstraat of Oskaloosa, IA, Tammy (& Dewayne) Jemison of Beacon, IA and Scott Langstraat of Oskaloosa, IA; her grandchildren: Crystal (& Alan) Fawcett, Josh Jemison and Ariel Langstraat; six great-grandchildren and one great grandchild “on the way”; and a step-daughter, Ginger Fisher of Ottumwa, IA.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Langstraat; and a brother, Robert Briney.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2022 at Langkamp Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. to the time of service on Friday.
Burial will follow at the White Oak Cemetery near Oskaloosa, Iowa.
