Edwards Wins Second Weekly Award

Oskaloosa–Alex Edwards (Jr., Knoxville, Iowa, Secondary Education) extended perfection in his only individual event to earn Midwest Collegiate Conference Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors Monday.
Edwards, a two-time winner this winter (four times in his career–all indoor), won the 600-meter run at the Central Dutch Athletics Classic with a time of 1:21.65. The junior was also part of the 4×400-meter relay team that finished third in a time of 3:31.20.
Edwards, who also won the 600 at the St. Ambrose Frigid Bee Invitational last month, currently ranks first in the league in the event and sixth in the NAIA.
