EBF vs. Oskaloosa

by Coach Gladys Genskow

Tough match tonight against Osky. We came out hesitant playing against people we knew, having a different line up due to our Libero was sick and it contributed to the low scoring of point for the first set. Not having our usual line up this time of year makes it hard to adjust quickly against a good team and they took advantage of our poor passing. As the match went on, we gained more confidence and played much better. I am proud of the girls for not giving up on themselves. We kept fighting to score points, but not enough to take a set. We have a tough match again Tuesday night with Knoxville, but the girls are ready for the task. Each conference match we play from here on out is our opportunity to take that top spot in the SCC. We will have to keep the focus, play with confidence and cut down the errors if we want to be competitive with Knoxville.
